Glass imitating carnelian on an agate base.

Very fine style. Copy of a sardonyx by Giovanni Pichler (1734-1791), faithfully reproducing one of the bas-reliefs of a candelabra in the Vatican Museums, from the time of Hadrian, known as the Barberini Candelabra.
