Large fossil tooth and root of a tyrannosaur from the Carcharodontosaurus family, a carnivorous theropod dinosaur that lived during the Cenomanian stage of the Upper Cretaceous, in what is now North Africa.
113 to 97 million years ago.
The typical species was around 12 meters long and weighed between 4 and 6 tons, making it one of the largest carnivorous theropods.
