Superb 18k (750mil) yellow and white gold openwork brooch of oblong shape with scrolls and interlacing design, richly adorned with old-cut and half-cut diamonds totaling approx. 6cts, set with four natural Ceylon sapphires weighing approx. 1ct each, and adorned with a central sapphire weighing approx. 2.5cts. Total weight of sapphires: approx. 6.5cts. Late 19th century. Gross weight: 23.50g. Height: 4.8cm; Width: 4.3cm Certificate from CARAT GEM LAB attesting provenance, size and absence of thermal alteration for one of the pear-cut sapphires.
