Rare statue of Hercules in flayed form leaning on a wooden trunk, at his feet the remains of the Nemean lion and its club. The quadripod pedestal with volutes is flanked by four lion muffles. Proof in bronze with brown patina. Germany, late 17th, early 18th century. Height: 53 cm ; Width: 21 cm ; Depth: 21 cm. (Reprise in lead on the top of the head, later base)
